Gum recession on the left side of the mouth is a tell tale sign.

As DrRick pointed out, the illusion of teeth being of different length is mostly due to gum recession.

Unfortunately, I dont have access to my ortho (I changed continents); but if get hold of a good ortho someday, I'll ask him/her about this. Hawleys are great retainers. In fact they are the gold standard in retainers. Was debraced 2 years ago, I had missing lateral incisors. I wore a retainer at night with fake teeth to keep the central incisors in place (I got implants done 6 months ago), but it looks like they tilted like mad!!!!



How bad is it?

The local ortho took impressions for replacing my replacement retainers with which he was not happy about. Claimed Hawley retainers were outdated and essix type worked much better. Sigh

I need to hunt for a good ortho. Oh, how I miss my original ortho!!!!
