Excessive glue is nothing to worry about. If you mean the glue holding molar bands on, dont worry it will all wear off before too long. The cement holding the brackets on will be ground off when braces are removed, no problem.

Retainers are going ok. Don't wear them 24/7 like I'm supposed to be, usually more like 20 hrs a day. Since I lisp horribly and noone can understand me, I stopped wearing them during classes which are usually only 3-4 hours a day. Haven't had any shifting to note. A friend of mine was surprised to hear I was instructed to wear my hawleys 24/7 for 3 months, I guess she got the same one week, then only nights treatment, and her teef are fine. Makes me wonder if it really is that big a deal wearing them 24/7 more that long. My theory is that it is more of an eff...

Even better, I got my concealed pistol license when I had braces, so of course I did a serious face. I really look like a serial killer in it.

I don't know if you're aware, but at least in the US you have to be licenced and certified as an ortho assistant. Not just go in and learn on the job. At least all my ortho assistants were.

Got my retainers today. Hawleys top and bottom. Red. Going to be tough learning to talk with these things.

Pee before sitting down, you'll be there awhile. Relax. Take some tylonal, but the pain usually doesn't start really till that night, or the next morning. The pain goes away in a few days.

I had it done 3 seperate times. They have to shave a tiny amount at a time, otherwise you'll end up with pain and sensitivity for awhile.
