I have a slight crossbite and instead of going through surgery, my ortho told me that he will sink the bottom teeth inward so the uppers will go over them. Has anyone else gone through this? Anything wrong with this?

I got metal braces and have been happy with them. My ortho never really gave me the option of choosing from the two. I found out later that they were more expensive so I am glad with my decision. If you feel that you might be self-conscious during your treatment, then ceramics is the way to go.

I was told 24 months during my consultation. Lately I've been coming in every 3 weeks for adjustments. Does this mean that my teeth are moving faster then they expected?

I went through the same thing. One of my front teeth was killing me. I was thinking root canal, so I called my dentist to make an appointment. The next day it got better, so I cancelled it.
