Should I be worried?

I've had my braces off for about 2 months and I have clear essix retainers top and bottom. Just recently(about a week ago), one of the front middle two teeth(not good with tooth names) has shifted downward. I am kind of surprised and disappointed because I wear my retainers as directed, 24/7 except ...

Tooth pain all of a sudden

I've been in retainers for nearly a month and a half. My teeth haven't shifted at all yet, as expected. Recently(the past few days), I've been getting HUGE pains when putting on my retainers or when I chew with my back teeth on either side of my mouth. My wisdom teeth haven't been removed yet, so I'...

Not overnight. I got my braces off on a Friday and got top and bottom Essix retainers on Monday. There was tightness for about a day tops and that was it.

I got a clear retainer which is pretty nice because you can't tell that I am wearing one unless you are up close to me. Perhaps thats what you'll get getting! Congrats again! Yep, I did indeed get clear essix retainers, top and bottom. They felt pretty tight for the first hour or so, but it's not s...

Finally NAKED! (pics)

Well, the braces came off today at 9:30 AM. Some of you may have seen my thread last night, I was pretty nervous about getting them off. The entire visit took about 40-45 minutes. The brackets did pop right off as everyone said, not too much pain at all. The polishing of the teeth and getting the gl...

Nervous about getting Braces off

Although I can't wait to get my braces off and reveal my straight teeth, I'm slightly nervous about the actual procedure. Many people have said there's no pain involved, just pressure... but my teeth are pretty sensitive. I have full metal braces top and bottom which I hear is much easier to remove ...

Thanks for all the support everyone! It's a bit more difficult to talk, but I'm getting used to it. I guess it's a small price to pay for having straight teeth. I know I haven't had my braces on long compared to some people here, but I can't wait to get them off and see my long awaited brace-free sm...

Really painful elastics configuration (pics)

I've had braces for about 19 months now. At my most recent appointment, I got some great news.. I'm getting my braces off on Friday, May 5th... but the ortho also put some very painful elastics on. Has anyone had a configuration like this before? I've been in elastics for probably 6 or so months now...

I kinda liked when my appointments were far apart. For the last 3-4 months each of my appointments were about 2 weeks apart. Every time my mouth recovered from being sore, another appointment would be right around the corner. Eating soft foods for half a month every month is no good either, so look ...

A bit disappointed

Hey everyone, I'm "new" here, but I've been reading this forum since about a week before my braces went on (Late Sept. '04). 2 Weeks ago from today I went in for what I thought was a regular appointment, and my ortho took a look at my teeth and surprised me by saying I was ready to have th...
