Not overnight. I got my braces off on a Friday and got top and bottom Essix retainers on Monday. There was tightness for about a day tops and that was it.

I got a clear retainer which is pretty nice because you can't tell that I am wearing one unless you are up close to me. Perhaps thats what you'll get getting! Congrats again!
