Hi Melfly! Welcome to the board! I had 4 teeth extracted before I got my braces, two on top and two on bottom. I have a severe overbite, and my is worse than yours. My first option was to have jaw surgery but I could not afford it, so we decided to try a new product called "anchor screws" ...

I had 4 teeth pulled and it cost me $730 with my insurance. The total cost without my insurance was $1300.

Before I had my teeth pulled I searched the net to find out info and I learned that the cost depends on which tooth is pulled. Molars are more expensive.

But I can still feel your pain!

Thanks KK! You are right, I didn't think about all the new technology and advancements that dentists and doctors are discovering everyday.

My mouth is very dry since I got braces. I find myself licking the top of my braces with my tongue just to get them a little wet. And if I talk to someone for a long time, my top braces feel funny.....like your teeth feel when you first wake up in the morning, Yuck! I don't know, maybe it's just me!...
