Dami, KK really broke it down for you! Everything she said is true. I personally had to use A LOT of wax the first week, but then everyone told me to lay off so much of it b/c I need to let my mouth get use to all the new appliances. So I started to rinse my mouth out with warm salt water about twic...

Yep, I agree with sjsarre. You are young and your jaw is still developing so spacers and the braces probably won't hurt you as much as it hurts adults. Maybe you didn't know that when you said we were cowards......... But anyway, just be glad you don't have to deal with all the pain and frustration ...

I totally agree with jcdamon3, I think you need braces and I personally think that you should consider getting braces on the top and bottom. You might regret it later when the top braces come off and those teeth are pretty and straight but the bottom are not. I understand if it is a financial issue,...

I agree with fryelight, I think it could be a piece of bone. After my extractions I also had a white piece of something sticking out on my gums where my extracted teeth was, my dentist told me that it was a piece of bone that had shifted but that it will move back in place in time and I have not had...

This is soooo strange b/c just this morning my husband told me I looked like I had lost some weight and some people at my job asked me the same thing........I personally do not think I have lost any weight, so I guess the braces do make you look skinner. But it did make me feel good when they said I...

Hey Po! You are right! If the wire starts to poke you in the cheeks that definitely means that your teeth are moving. It may hurt a little but it means MOVEMENT, so just give your ortho a call and let him clip the end of your wire for you, it will feel so much better. CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING BRAC...
