Hi UK people, I've had my braces on since May. Having surgery at some point and am told will need to wear braces a little while after as well? Is this normal? I thought retainers would suffice? Work is due to a very noticable overbite i inherited. How long did everyone have to wait for surgery after...

LOL I remember Eugene. I'm a big BB fan and used to see people on forums commenting on his teeth, he did have a noticable overbite. There was another girl called Emma who used to be in the BB house. I can remember Victor taking the micky out of her teeth and someone saying she was very sensative abo...

Thank you all, it looks like thankfully it will get easier. I always rinse after food and clear everything out I think this is very important. I've made the mistake many times of rinsing with cold water and the water going into the extraction holes. Ouch! does that hurt! Lesson here always rinse wit...

Nightmare so far
Due to have braces fitted on May 15th - have quite severe overbite. Had first two extractions last week. BOTH holes developed a dry socket infection which was the worse pain I have ever had and resulted in a trip to the emergency dentist (bank holiday weekend) and having to have anti-septic dressing...

Hi all, thanks for the replies :) Yes I am a Aston Villa fan, I'm actually thinking of getting claret and blue ligs. (only joking of course!) To be honest I've been thinking of not going ahead with it. My mentality being I'm 25, single and go out a lot. As I'm not going to get my braces off until I ...

Friends/Colleagues reaction to my Adult Braces? (UK)
Hi :) I'm having fixed braces fitted next month. I'm a 25 year old male living in the UK. The braces are due to a noticable overbite. I've decided to get the work done as I'm getting free on the NHS. I'm quite self-concious (mailnly because of my team) and quiet but have quite a lot of friends. Obvi...
