Finally after almost 3 years, today i was debanded!! They are by no means perfect, but a damn sight better than what they were 3 yrs ago! I've been walking around all day like a fool smiling at everyone :lol: My retainers are clear and i have to put them on like a gum shield, are they essix or hawle...

I had the same problem. I mentioned to my ortho about the gap that had developed, he just laughed and told me not to worry. 10 minutes after having the powerchain on, it had completely closed up. You will probably get one later on.

Originally i was told 18 months, if that... that was nearly 30 months ago! :shock: I've never said anything, cos i don't want them rushing it and doing a half hearted job. Had an adjustment today, and theyve moved my deband date to September 18th.. wahooo! :D

I had the same problem, never had gaps inbetween my teeth before and i developed one between my two front teeth, noticeable and got food stuck inbetween!! Mentioned it to my ortho, he put on a powerchain this morning, and it's closed already. phew!! also had my debanding date...september 18th. wahoo...

Hey there, welcome to the forum, and congratulations on the start of your Journey! I think Boots might sell dental wax? Maybe at the chemist counter if not near the toothbrushes and stuff...worth a look! And lipbalm helped with the unsticking, and drinking lots of fluids to keep your mouth hydrated!...

on 2nd of October, and 9.15am!! Finally!!
It's been a long time coming, and still another 3 months
Anyone know what to expect, does it hurt? how long it takes?
