Hey Rory,
Thanks for the advice. I just can't understand what happened because it just became darker...almost overnight. Oh well, as soon as these braces come off, I hope to get my teeth whitened (professionally).
Thanks again!

Dear Rory, Sorry for the confusion. :( I had my 1st molars extracted. One particular canine in front of one of the gaps looks darker then the rest of my teeth. I'm just hoping that there wasn't some type of nerve damage done. I can't imagine that happening but you never know. I use Crest toothpaste ...

Thanks for the response Rory, however, I don't have a filling in my canine. I'll have to wait until my next appointment with my ortho and see what he thinks.

Thanks

EEEK...First Molar Discoloration!

In October I had my first bicuspid removed and now my canine, that is right next to it, is looking a little discolored. In the mirror, I notice it looks darker in color then the rest of my teeth. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted with just novicane. (not all at once...in pairs.) It still kind of sucks though. Thanks for the reply and the support. :D

1st bicuspid - 2nd bicuspid

My ortho wants to have 3 of my 1st bicuspids extracted. I've been braced for 1 month and can't believe the movement I've already had. Has anyone else had 1st bicuspids removed vs. 2nd bicuspids? I'm afraid of gaps because I do not have wisdom teeth. Would someone let me know of their experience?[col...

Last night while I was flossing, I noticed that where I had 2 teeth kind of overlaping, I now have a tiny gap. At first I thought it was discoloration due to the overlapping. But, sure enough, it is a gap! I was so excited! My 12 year old daughter thought I was nuts. I was sucking air through it and...

I'm 39 and have been braced for 1 month. I can see/feel movement too. I have 1 molar that now makes my bite feel out of wack. When I bite down, I can feel it move. It's kind of weird! YEAH FOR US OLDER CHICKS!!! (If included a guy as a chick, I'm sorry)

Hey Silverwolf It's good to hear that your doing well with your braces. I'm sorry to hear about Wolfgang. :( I dread the day my basset hound, Daisy Duke passes away. It's amazing how much we love our animals. I think it's because of the unconditional love they give back. Some humans can't even give ...

Breastfeeding

My brother and I were breast fed and I'm the one with the crooked teeth while he's got beautiful teeth. I breast fed my 2 daughters, 1 has beautiful teeth and 1 has an overbite. I think genetics has a role in it because my teeth resemble how my mothers were when she was younger.

Wow Silverwolf, egg salad and half a steak sub!!! You did great!!! I've always heard of people only eating yogurt, ice cream, soft mushy stuff like that. Well, congratulations :-88 It sounds like your visit wasn't bad at all. Last night I noticed my second tooth (eye tooth I thnk) from the middle ha...

My Doc never said anything about spacers. I have to have 3 molars removed...I think I'd rather have spacers. :( Did your Doc recommend the yucky Colgate Phosflur? :yuck: Bubble Gum flavor doesn't sound too bad. I love Listerine! It makes my teeth and mouth feel so clean. :-* GOOD LUCK at your appoin...

Hey New Kid, I'm 38 years old and getting braced in June. I'm on the road to self improvement too. I also have needed braces since I was a young girl. But, being #10 of 10 kids, my chances of getting braces were slim to none. I've got 2 daughters, 12 & 17. Now is my turn for some over due overha...

Thanks for the replys! I have medium blond hair and green eyes. My skin color isn't too fair. I figure that these are going to be a part of my appearance for 2 years, I've got to make sure I'm going to be happy with the color. Keep the opinions coming!!!

Thanks for your opinions! I wear a lot of yellow gold and thought a gold grill would be kind of cool...but I also thought my teeth might look yellow from a distance. I think I'll pick silver. Many thanks!
