Thanks guys! It was definitely worth all that time and frustration.

It is great being brace free. I am even enjoying my essix experience believe it or not!!!!

I don't know how my teeth stayed so white....I was planning on using Crest-strips but I am happy with the shade that they are.

Hi all, Well sorry it has been a year since I posted last. I am happy to say my journey has come to an end. The last year was really hard as the tooth movement slowed right down, and the ortho spent about six months, just finishing my teeth. But now being brace free, I can say that it was all well w...

Hi All, Thanks for your replies, I was debanded today upon the advice of my ortho, and I am absolutely ecstatic with the results. The slightly misaligned tooth, seems even less so without brackets for some reason. I have posted an update in the Naked Tooth section showing my before and after pics. T...

My nudie run!!!!!!!! (with pics)

I was debanded today. And it was every bit the great experience I thought it would be :D I am sooooo happy with the results. The two and half years in wires (+ the 4 extractions) all seem totally worthwhile. My profile is a lot flatter which you can see from the pics. Here are before pics: http://i3...

Is near enough good enough?

I am getting my braces off in 6 days - Woohoo! THe only thing is my lower teeth are not perfectly aligned. I asked my ortho about this last time and he said 'normally I wouldn't bother, but for you of course..." So he repositioned the bracket and it did improve things, but they are still slight...

Extraction gaps almost closed. How long left?

Hi,

My teeth are aligned and my gaps are pretty much closed :jump:

My question is really how long was it for you between your gaps closing and when you got your braces off?

Do you think babies notice braces?

Weird question I know, but I am convinced that babies notice braces! Whenever I see them, and there is a group of us cooing over the baby, the baby seems to always focus on me! I know that they can certainly recognise a smile or frown, I think they are looking at us wondering what those shiny things...

ok -have to ask - how do you measure your gaps??? Best I've come up with is a piece of paper with a printed mm scale... LOL and I have hubby check them periodically. Jovifan - Well, I know this is not the most reliable method in the world, but really its just my husband and a ruler :) I'm not too f...

Hi 8shanell8, My ortho didn't charge any additional fees when I decided to take my teeth out. It was only the cost of the extractions that I had to pay (done by a dentist, not my ortho) I took all 4 teeth out at once! The ortho actually recommended 2 a time due to having your whole mouth numb, but I...

Hi Overseasemel, I could have written your post word for word bar a few timing changes. I first got braces in March 05, and whilst my ortho suggested extractions, I decided to wait and see. After a year - my teeth had straightened beautifully, but had come forward a couple of cm...This bugged me a l...
