I am getting my braces first and then my husband will get orthoclear in the next year or so. My ortho said he can give a something like a 5% or 10% discount.

haha - I actually haven't heard the Alba thing in a LOOOONNNG time! When she first came out with the show 'Dark Angel' I was in college and people would ALWAYS say that to me. I haven't heard that in ages though..probably bc she has lightened her hair a bunch and wears it straighter.

Being someone that has perfectly straight teeth but bite problems, I would say don't just get the nice smile...get the bite fixed too! Might as well go all the way if you are shelling out the money.

Yea, I am wondering what the mouth soreness is gonna be like...hopefully not too bad...we shall see!

jcdamon3 - Yea, the clenching thing has been a long road for me...lol If you are having dental pain related to clenching, feel free to PM me and I can give you some advice on things to try. No matter what I won't go back to the NTI. My Ortho said after braces he will most likely do a bonded retainer...

Purely for dental health...my open bite causes me pain in my molars and I started getting tmj pain too. Plus, I started getting a lisp in my when saying a word with 's' in it...pretty freaky when friends start asking why you are talking funny if they haven't seen you in awhile! It also would be nice...
