Still feel crooked from the back...

Has anyone had this problem? My teeth look pretty straight from the front but when I run my tongue over the back of my top teeth they feel crooked. I guess I figured they'd be more smooth and arched.

I HATE my retainers!

I was "brace and retainer free" for a whole glorious day yesterday until 3pm. That's when my ortho shoved these essex retainers in my mouth. :( I can't speak without a lisp and they hurt like hell! I can't stand the way the plastic feels in my mouth and I feel even more geeky than I did wi...

I'm naked! (pics)

My braces came off today after two long years....he still needs to tweak a tooth but says he can do it with the Essex. I'm pleased with the results but I can feel that tooth being crooked in the back. I hope it turns! Before: http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k180/Krooner01/adam040-1.jpg After: http...

Do they ever change their mind when you get there???

I'm due to have my debanding this Tuesday. I am concerned that he's going to say, no, you still need more time and send me home. I've voiced my concerns that although my teeth have moved a lot, they are still a bit crooked - I can feel it with my tongue in the backside of my teeth. They've assured m...

Supposed to get braces off this Tuesday!

Somehow I just don't believe it's gonna happen! I was supposed to have them on for 12-15 mos but it's been 2 yrs! The front two teeth were pushed inward in the middle. They have been very stubborn. Anyway, to look at them, they have moved a lot and they look nearly straight. But I can feel that they...

Thanks kk. He has been doing IPR on me for the past several adjustments. I guess I just thought it would be more gradual and not like a "crunch time movement" sort of thing. He seems irritable whenever I ask about it so I'm trying not to ask too much more about it and just try to trust him.

2 months from being de-braced? Or not...

I have two top front teeth that are very crooked. They "butterfly out" because they are sort of triangular shaped and too big for my mouth. Anyway, I got braced last August to straighten them. The ortho said 12-15 months in braces (metal on bottom, ceramic on top). Here we are 14 month lat...

Thanks, I know it's not that bad. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I thought after a year that they would be straight and the rest of the time would just be "setting". I guess I was wrong...

Anyone have SLOOOOWWW moving teeth?

I was given a 12-15 month time frame for my braces. I have two upper front teeth that are pushed in and very crooked. I have no bite problems and my bottom teeth were a bit crooked but not bad. It's been 12 months and although they have moved some, the upper teeth are still pretty crooked. I asked m...

Is this good progress? pics

Hello, I got my braces on last August. I have no problems with my bite - but my teeth were very crooked on top and somewhat on the bottom. The Ortho said it should take between 12-15 mos tops. So here I am with just 3-6 mos left to go and although my teeth have moved a lot they are still pretty croo...

If you had your teeth "filed down"

Did it make a big difference in your teeth moving? My two top front teeth need to move into place and they seem to move around but are still not straight (it's been 7 months). My orthodontist just "filed" my teeth with what looked like a nail file  . He said he would do it periodicall...
