I'm not on here to complain about the pain but I have a quick question:

After I took my elastics out to clean my teeth tonight, I noticed I guess cuts on my bottom gums from the rubber bands. Am I not wearing these correctly, this can't be normal. Does anyone have any tips?

Well they said that was a "rough" estimate. Hopefully it'll be true.
I'm glad we both have impacted bicuspids. One of mine is almost down on it's own, and one isn't even CLOSE to being down.

It's kind of cool to feel the teeth 'moving' though.

I got braced today too.
My uppers have stopped being sore and now it's the lower teeth. It's neat to feel it move though.
I've had the same issue with eating.
So i've been drinking everything: Soup, Ice Cream, Milkshakes..

I've decided to go with ceramic braces, at 17 it may be odd but its' what I'm going to be the most comfortable in probably.

Alright. I know it's my decision but I have a history of making bad ones.
I think I'm just nervous about getting them in general and how it will impact my life (which is probably won't AT ALL).
