i also wanted to add that i have damon braces and had four bicuspids extracted almost three weeks ago. as of now, i cant say im ok with it coz im still unsure about the gaps because they are so big.. but my dentist and ortho both thought i needed it so im sure if two professionals think that, i prob...

i got four bicuspids extracted last week and since then i have had a fever every night.. now i also have a cold.. i have been taking tylenol and ibuprofen everyday almost but the fever returns.. is it an infection?

so i have been on damons for a year and had 4 bicuspids extracted on wed.. i saw the ortho on fri and he put wires on..and it hurts coz i guess he put a thicker wire in.. my question is..will this be the only method of filling the gaps in damon braces or will i wear powerchains and stuff too? and al...

Thanks Meryaten and Miss Smiley.. after reading the other posts, im starting to feel alot better. those teeth looked so tiny in my mouth but the gaps they left are huge!! i wonder how all this is ever gonna work out..

so i had my teeth out today...still bleeding.. im really freaking out now, seems like the gaps are so wide.. i need some reassuring here

Bracegirl, the thing to remember here is that each case is different. I got my braces on tuesday also..just the upper jaw..im getting the lower jaw done in 6 weeks..I think im doing pretty good, i just had some watermelon and it didnt hurt too much! So hopefully u'll start feeling better soon too

Thanks KK..you are right..today is day 3 with braces and i am getting used to it. before it felt like everyone was staring my braces but it was just me thinking that! i can kinda bite into bread and other semi-hard food now..thanks for all your suggestions though!

My teeth were done in the damon braces..so the brackets are a little smaller but still ugly enough! i guess im just getting used to it now.. im scared of getting canker sores though coz i get them alot even without braces.. but atleast im not really experiencing alot of pain.. it hurts a little but ...

hey i got braces on may 2nd also! so far i hate it..i cant believe i look like this but i also wanted to know why my ortho only put braces on upper jaw..is this common with others also?
