I just got my implant/crown completed 3 weeks ago, (1st surgery was 05/06) pain free for the most part and very good results aesthetically. Your cost estimate jibes with what I paid. I got to enjoy my new crown for only 30 minutes before my OD slapped on a lingual side bracket for elastics..DAMN! Th...

after complaining about stained ligs, my ortho switched me to the teflon ties. they did not stain at all, but after 2 months they switched me to the regular wire ties, the teflon ones did not have the tensile strength to move teeth, after switching to regular wire I can tell you that I definitely fe...

fang

I had a canine that was exposed like a fang due to crowding. Braces have pulled it back, but the tooth is still exposed (higher gumline). Will it eventually grow over, or is a procedure required?

Was it the "whitening expressions " crest? I had the same problem with this brand of tooth paste when used with the pro-health rinse . DDS said it was epitheleal tissue sloughing off. When I switched to Biotene mouthwash and a less caustic toothpaste, the problem diappeared.

i drink alot of coffee and nothing seemed to keep the ligs from staining so my ortho suggested new white colored wire ties instead of ligs at last adjustment. they make the clear brackets even less noticeable and do not stain at all.

I had the exact same thing happen with Procare rinse. My DDS said it was epithelial (sp?) tissue, not plaque! He said it was not the rinse. It went away when I stopped using whitening toothpaste and switched to natural (Tom's)
Might want to try a gentler toothpaste. :D

This is also the reason I got braces. Got an implant, but DDS said tooth in gap above moved down , so braces are going to push/pull the tooth back into place, at least I hope it does!

I had several old metal fillings replaced with white composite and a few of them are still visible (gray). Guessing that the old filling material was too deep to remove safely.

Just got my braces Wed 5/3, and I broke a sweat the first time I tried to floss with regular floss. I bought this device and use it on the molars in back, because they were very hard to reach with threader. Works well and is very easy to use. Anyone who wants one in So. Texas can get them at HEB for...
