I was braced on 5/10- and I can tell the mouth really does toughen up in about a week. Salt water rinses are key. Lately I can feel the brackets (the back are especially sharp) dig into my cheek, but no pain. It's kind of weird, but I'm not complaining!

Ok- so I need to talk about bending the archwire or putting on stops. (Or living with the wire that constantly pops out.)

It's a good plan. Thanks for all the tips. Now I just need to learn how to eat without looking like a dog trying to chew something tough on my back teeth.
