Phew!! Other people who feel like me!! I was initially told I would have to wear my braces for 18 months. A few appointments ago i was informed it will be closer to 2 years. ARRRGGHH!! I just want them off!! I totally agree they have made HUGE improvements to my smile and I don't regret getting them...

It will pass I promise. I remember reading this board with people saying stuff like "sometimes I forget they're even there" and thinking sheh right!! However.........sometimes I DO forget that I have them on. Other times I feel like I would love to take them out and leave them on the side ...

I went back to my ortho today and saw the original one who put my brackets on. He was great and drilled (!) down to wire so it is no longer pokey snd said "That must have been hurting you!" So...back on the road to a fab smile once again! Yipee!! Thanks for all the advice and reassuring me...

I have silver wire ligs and they are fab!!! They arent that noticable on ceramic brackets, and I can eat curry and drink coffee to my hearts content. Yippee!!
