24 to 30 months for me - really messed up teeth.

well for me if i had've had regular braces, all the brackets on my teeth would be connected to the wire and all be moving at the same time. but since i've got linguals, its not physically possible to hook a few of them onto the wire until space has been made by the others moving....hard to explain.....

i just tried the expirement and never realised my teeth looked so disgusting HAHAHA !

i must have just gotten used to my mirror teeth and not noticed how bad they really are

it made me so thankful that i have braces.

ok guys thanks for the info ill start flossing regularly.

ok so is the main point of flossing to clean the spaces between the teeth or to clean the gum at the top of the gap, and if so, are you supposed to rub it against the gum?

if i do that it bleeds...

my orthodontist has not even mentioned flossing, most people here seem to be obliged to floss daily. I floss about once a week.

i dont floss the molars, just the front 12, and no i dont find it difficult.

hey sharon good choice, linguals are much better but i'll tell you straight up, speaking will be difficult for a while. i got braced on the 31st of july and although my speech has improved dramatically, i still can't pronounce S sounds properly, and it is noticable. Is it ok if I leave wax on my brackets for several days at a time and kind of just brush around them?

its such a hassle taking wax out every time i want to brush, and im running out of the stuff pretty fast.

what do you guys reckon? will my teeth rot ?
