college

I agree with what everyone has said, there's always going to be a period of adjustment, but it's not severe enough that you'd need to put off classes. I've met new friends the day after I've gotten braces, and I don't mind using it as a conversation starter. As for random people that I may have to s...

night

I've become so aware of my braces that in the middle of the night, when I wake up just slightly to toss around in my sleep, I bite down to see how it feels, and usually it seems like it's that time that my teeth feel the most aligned.
Could just be my imagination though.

When people refer to wires as being "square", do they mean the cross section of the wire is square, or the shape that the wire is bent into?

yeah

For me, the banding was nothing compared to the spacers.
I was just so relieved to have those little monsters out of my mouth, the band was a breeze in comparison.

ouch!

Spacers for me were, unfortunately, the worst part of my braces experience so far. I'm jealous of everyone else who said it felt like some food stuck between their teeth. I had already been braced at that point, with the one bracket on that tooth having popped off. My orthodontist decided to put in ...

me too

They didn't bracket my last two teeth either, on either the top or bottom...not sure why, because when I open my mouth, I can see all the other teeth (somewhat) in alignment, but the last two slightly off.

me too

Hey kramer19, I've also been having something similar happen to me, after the spacers were put in my lower back teeth, my front lower teeth began getting crowded together. But after the band was actually put in, it feels like the crowding has loosened up a little. I don't know, I guess the initial a...

Slow Initial Progress with Damon 3?

Hi Friends! So, i got Damon 3 brackets on my upper teeth a little over a month ago, and unlike the other posts I've read so far, I seem to be having little progress! At least from what I can see so far. My orthodontist told me that since my problem is a slight crowding in my front teeth, what he is ...

Spacers on One Side?

Hi everyone! I've had my uppers for about a month now, but when i got my lower teeth bracketed last week, the bracket on my second premolar popped off as I was eating. When i went back today, instead of rebracketing that tooth as I was expecting, the orthodontist's assistant placed in spacers for ba...
