I had that fear too, especially since one of my front tooth was erupted to match the length of the other. After a couple of months, the loosening has lessened, and I feel much more confident biting into food.

thanks

Thanks for everyone's reply, this website has helped immensely through the past months. I think what helped the most with my treatment, which also helped speed up the process, was being well-informed of what the orthodontist's intentions were. Basically after every appointment, my orthodontist would...

Damon 3 wearer DEBRACED 5 months early! pics included

Hi Friends! I've known for a while now that my treatment time was going to be cut in half because of my speedy progress. Originally my orthodontist said it would take about 12 months total, but now, only after a little over 6 months, I'm done! I was a little worried that he was rushing me through, a...

It didn't really hurt. There was a feeling of pressure as any adjustment, and today's the third day, and it doesn't hurt at all. However, it doesn't feel completely stable yet, and I've yet to put much pressure on it.

"Tooth Eruption" Have you had this done?

Hi Friends! So I'm nearing the final stretch, and my orthodontist has been doing some tinkering with my teeth for the final adjustments. There's one thing that I'm not quite comfortable with, and maybe it's quite common. One of my front teeth is chipped on one side, and what he did was to readjust t...

I had them and one time the assistant did not crimp them so they slid around. I thought she forgot, and came back to ask about it, it turned out since my wires were rectangular and heavy enough that the wire does not move anyway, she just didn't do it on purpose.

To tell the truth, I couldn't be bothered to spend the time to smush the wax on everytime, and worry about them falling off--I'd have gotten ceramics in the first place. but i thought it was pretty clever.

It sound like if you just want to cosmetic benefits without the braces, you might as well as get veneers.

LOL!
I actually noticed that once when I was putting on the wax for my poor ripped up mouth, but I never thought of actually doing it for asthetic purposes. I wonder if it'd be much bulkier than with just the brackets. I'll give it a try when I go home tonight.

Switching from Damons to Regular for two front teeth

I've had braces for about 4.5 months now, and have moved on to the heaviest wire for my top teeth today. My orthodontist found that while my teeth are basically in alignment, my front two teeth still flare out. He said that in three weeks, if the heaviest wire still doesn't straighten out the proble...

I'd have to say your teeth are my favorite of all the finshed teeth i've seen.
They really look terrific!

yeah

Phew, thanks for your replies, I'm glad at least it's not completely obscure. As far as my case goes, I think the orthodontist intended for me to have retainers of some kind in addition to the fiberotomy. He made it sound like no big deal at all, so I didn't give it much thought until I saw the bloo...
