I got a hawley retainer for the top today and I had a little trouble putting in on in the office today, but they showed me how and it is suppose to click when you get it in right. Now i have tried for almost an hour and feels like i am not putting it in right. Can someone help me please.

I got my braces off almost two years ago, and I have had essix retainers since I got them off. I went to the orthodontist yesterday and they changed my retainers to essix on bottom and hawley on top. I think it was a class 2 overbite that he said I have. I will be getting my new retainers on wed.

I would get the ceramics over the clear aligners if I were you. The ceramics look so much better than metal in my opinion. Also, I'm not sure but I think clear aligners are more expensive than braces. Also, I was told if you lose one set of aligners you have to pay for the hole treatment over again....

Hey iBorg! I have had braces for two years now-getting them off November 15. I have ceramic on top and metal on bottom. The whole time I have had braces none of my ceramics have come off. I have had 2 or 3 metal come off. In my opinion the ceramic seem to stay on much better than metal.

Has anyone had their braces taken off when their bite did not feel right or had a small overjet and what did you do about it?

If you still have an overbite after braces come off is there surgery that can correct this?

I will be getting my braces off Nov.22, and I will be getting essix on top and hawley on bottom. Anyone who has these two retainers together can you tell me how you are doing with them.

My mom bought the Crest Vivid White and the toothpaste you use with it at night. The toothpaste will be about a year old when I get my braces off. Will it still whiten my teeth the same way it would if it was new.

My ortho has several different kinds of retainers, but one has a wire on the back of the teeth and plastic in front or something like that and it is not a permanent. Can someone show me a picture of what it looks like.
