I had a RPE and have been RPE free for 5 months. It is normal to get a big space between the teeth, I could fit a $2 coin between my teeth and it is the thickest coin in our currency. Unfortunately I cannot help you with the grinding as i rarely keep my teeth together, they are always apart even wit...

It is just pressure put on the teeth, just stick with soft food for a day or two and you will be fine. After a couple of adjustments, it should be second nature to you. I am just speaking for myself here.

Soft foods like 2 minute noodles and energy drinks like Milo is my life saver. as well as icecream, just let it melt on your tongue (you could even put the milo on the icecream... just an idea). I can personally promise you that you will be eating like normal very soon (generally a week and a half a...

My mum used to take me to Hungry Jacks (Australias version of Burger King) after a visit to the dentist, now it hurts to even think about having food after being to the orthos. I remember that I had to cut up pizza for the first 2 weeks of having braces. When I first got my braces on, I immediately ...

I am going to use so much whitening toothpaste after they (braces) come off. I dont like the fact that if you use the whitening toothpaste during, that you will get dark spots where your brackets were.

I am having surgery to cure my overbite, and the prospect is scary, but I will get through it. If it is not a major problem for you, then get braces, it wouldnt be worth going through the pain for a little problem.

I found it hard to get into the routine of brushing, as for the 16 years of my life prior I was never a brusher, yet my teeth remained healthy :S I don't know how that worked out. I brush as well as use a pipecleaner type thing.
