I got my braces on July 20th. At my first adjustment on August 10th, I got new archwires, top and bottom--the "long acting" NiTi wires. Then at my second adjustment on September 21st, I got them both changed again to stainless steel but thicker (I guess!). I think my ortho is going to move...

I have molar bands on all 4 bottom molars, and the molars that are 1 in from the back on the top. So all but my very back top molars are either banded or bracketed :) I don't really even notice them anymore. No pain, no pokies in the mouth...just frustrating after I get done eating and use the water...
