Hey, Well back from my 7th adjustment, and feeling a bit down. No changes on my top arch, just new ligs but there was major work going on on my bottom arch. I have various springs, wire ties, elastic ties and an extra wire attached to move my teeth back slightly, and it looks awful, there is so much...

Hey Billy, Like kk says the choice is really up to you. I have ceramic on upper and lower arch and I chose this as I wanted them to be as less noticable as possible. I had metal braces when I was 14 (I am now 26) and I prefer the ceramic ones this time around. I don't feel like they are really big i...

Hey, Its great that your journey is about to start. It is normal to feel anxious or unconfident about it but it does get better. If you are having a bad day just focus on the outcome. I still feel really self concious and unconfident being a 26 year old girl in braces but I know that this is only a ...

I have ceramic brackets on the top and bottom and I had these as I wanted my braces to be as invisible as physically possible, so I always have clear ligs (even though my ortho tries to get me to have coloured ligs everytime i go in!) I have my adjustments every 4 weeks and he always changes my ligs...

Just got back from my 6th adjustment. The ortho took out my lower archwire and put some bends in it and then replaced it - he mentioned something about the bends elavating some teeth and depressing others (whatever that means!). No changes on the upper arch. New clears ligs on top and bottom, and to...

Water Piks are amazing, I don't think that I would be able to be without it during this brace journey. I also have the one that is in Meryaten's post and after 6 months it is still going strong. Even after I have finished with the braces I would deffo carry on with the water pik - it is a very good ...

Another open biter here too. my open bite is being treated with elastics and after about 5 months I am finding that my teeth are touching where they never did before. No surgery is needed. I have an open bite and a slight protrusion of the upper jaw due to an upper tongue thrust. At my 3rd adjustmen...

I am going through braces for the second time in my life because when I had them 12 years ago I was only told to wear my retainer for 6 months, which I did, but as the years went on my teeth shifted back to their original position, which was a pain after the oral surgery and a year of braces. So aft...
