Thank you everyone! It's been almost 9 months since I've had my braces removed. I'm loving it. I wear my upper retainers still everynight, which I plan on doing the rest of my life. For you all that are braced know that it is well worth it!

Mine are all flat because I've grinded my teeth my whole life! I'll have to eventually get a night guard so I don't grind them all away.... Thanks though!

I agree that you should get a second opinion, after all that time and money, and you're not even close to happy with it, it would be a shame to just give up.

i've been really good at wearing my retainer full time, though a couple of times when I'm somewhere where we're eating and drinking for hours I've noticed some pressure on like 2 or 3 teeth. Discomom: I have the essix type retainer, which is nice because it's not very noticable, though they're not all like this. It all depends what your ortho uses. I have a bonded retainer on my lower arch.

I've had my braces off for just over a week and you all have no idea how fun it is to eat again. I'm still catching myself looking at foods and thinking, is that worth eating and having to clean out of my braces after, then realizing, NO BRACES, eat away! Fun fun fun........
