Okay, so how long was it until you all first started seeing movement?

Sometimes, I seem to be spewing saliva like a fountain and other times, my mouth is as dry as a desert. Are rubber bands used to correct an overbite? I am both looking forward to that and NOT looking forward to it! At what point in treatment does that usually start ... beginning, middle or end? Erin

Okay, I'm having a bad day today and I need some encouragement I think. I've been braced a little over a week and my teeth hurt and I just developed a raw spot on the inside of my cheek. I've been using salt water rinses a lot this weekend and they help. I don't see how I'm ever going to get used to...

Okay, so you're saying that the insurance doesn't make one lump payment upfront of their portion, but instead, they pay their portion monthly just like me. Is that right?

Thanks! I feel better now. I didn't realize there would be follow-up visits after the braces come off. That makes sense though. I guess I just figured they'd take them off and I'd sail home with my nice straight pearly whites! LOL
