A brand of hard wax (sticks better) is DenTek. I haven't been able to find it lately, and have been using mint GUM wax. Horrible, slimy stuff.

I just have a big gap. The tooth was a back molar (second-to-last), so it doesn't really show. We're not expecting my teeth to move so much to fill it in, so I will most likely need an implant when the braces are coming off.

I have an upper canine that needs to be rotated. It seemed to be getting worse, so at my last adjustment (about 7 weeks ago) my ortho put a spring (coil?) in because I couldn't floss there, not even with Super Floss. I can floss now, but it's still turned. My next adjustment is Monday so I may get a...

Hey spimpy, I like to stay away from chemicals as much as possible, and I've found that a baking soda & tea tree oil paste works pretty well, especially if you have clear bands. Sorry this isn't much help, but like jdub I had a root-canaled tooth removed (a week after the braces went on) that could not accept a post for a crown. The plan was to do the braces, and then an implant (if needed). I don't know what happens if you have the implant first, I suppose they take it out...
