I agree with the last responder, sit with your ortho and ask him why the overjet won't be corrected. Maybe he can do some teeth reduction to make room, but what is the reason for not having it corrected?
I would want it corrected.

Yes, there are poor Drs. out there, quit and be happy you did early! Ask your friends, your regular dentist for references. Go have consulations with your braces on.
