When the elastics were irritating my cheek I put lots of wax on the backets were the elastics were placed to make my cheek pull away to create a gap. I had to do that for about a week until my cheek healed. The downside to that is drooling from that side.

My face definitely looks longer than before braces. I think it is caused by the open bite :shock: that I now have that I did not have before. I expect it to change back after my bite gets corrected.
