I had the same problem when I got braced in late August. My ortho simply put a ball of some gritty material on two molars opposite each other and used blue light or something to cement it. Well I get mine on tomorrow morning at 8AM (Tues. Aug 29) and plan on getting scarlet and grey ligs, so let's all enjoy our Big 10 colors.... Anyways, the end will justify the means, at least that's how I try to view it.

It's nice to know there are some older gentlemen out there taking the brace plunge. At 36 myself, I felt somewhat skittish about my second go around. I am anxiously awaiting the 29th of August for my ceramics (upper and lower) and 12-16 months of treatment time. Best of luck to you guys....
