update

ok, so it looks like I might have been over reacting this time. Things look like they're improving, little by little (but not quick enough for me) and I guess that it's normal to still feel some pain and discomfort, for a few more wks (oh no!) and keep oozing as well (yuck!). So I just have to keep ...

Ok, so I took your advice and called Dr's again. (I feel like such a bother, doing this, but thanks for making me feel better by saying I'm probably not the first or the last patient to do this :) .)So by now he immediately remembered exactly who I was, (and btw, he returned my call instantly, which...

DRY SOCKET

Ok, so I ended up with a dry socket after I had my last wisdom tooth, which was impacted, surgically removed. My surgery was on the 29th of Sept, Friday, and Thursday I ended up back at the OS's to "fix" my dry socket and infection. So he like, gave me novacaine, then he flushed it out, st...

Good Luck

How frustrating for you! My insurance (Metlife) told me that it would take 10-15 wks for them to review mine. So I decided to go through with my surgery anyways! I figured if I'm gonna be paying for most of it a out of pocket, I may as well go ahead.

I wonder.....

Well, I would have to say that I did everything they told me to do, and not to do. I knew not to use a straw, and I don't smoke, so it wasn't cause of that. Although, I wonder if it might have been the one morning, about 2 days after the surgery, when I couldn't help that I had to sneeze, and not ju...

update

Yeah! I can totally understand how she could end up in the Hptl. I was almost at that point myself, last night. But somehow the meds kicked in, and knocked me out. (TG!) UPDATE: Ok, I called the doc on call last night, and he called me right back, and told me to come in first thing this morning. Aft...

I called the OS

I called my Dr just about an hr ago. I left a message. Hopefully, he'll call me back soon!

Also, I think you're right about the dry socket. The sight doesn't look like I think it should.

Ok, I need to ask those of you who've recently had your wisdom teeth pulled: (I feel like I need to clarify that I'm a mentally healthy person before I ask this though  , cause this doesn't make much sense to me, right now.) Q: Can the pain of an impacted wisdom tooth, (tooth#32-bottom, right s...

Linda21

Thanks Linda21! Yeah, I am so glad I went for a second opinion on this surgery! This second Oral Surgeon was very knowledgeable! A lot of people think that the older the surgeon, the more experience, but that's not necessarily true! (We just had something about this on the news the other day) TG for...

Everything went fine with my surgery

First of all, thank you so much for asking! Everything went fine with my surgery! Better than I expected, and now I'm very excited to go to my next orthodontal apptmt! I can't wait to have some teeth moved again, to make room for the new canines! So far, since I've had the braces put on, I haven't b...

KK/fyrelight

KK, Yeah, I can't wait 'til they finally shine through-it will be a happy day for me-can't wait! And I agree with you-that will be like giving birth again, for real! Instead of two children, I'll be a new mother of 4! (heehee) I'm sure one will come down sooner than the other, since one is so much c...
