I just got back from the Ortho and my first adjustment! :) I must say it did hurt a lil. But I am excited to add another piece to my hardware...a SPRING! If you look at my pictures above, its located between right where the tooth is hiding. From what I have read on the site, springs get the job done...

I have my adjustment tomorrow, so I will update you on what he says/suggests...

Is it just me or does it bother you guys that everytime you see someone in braces in movies, magazines, TV, website pictures on sites (including this one)....the person with them on, their teeth are straight!! It's so obvious that it's just a model or actress with fake braces on just for the picture...

I smoke about a pack a week and my ortho doesn't even know and everytime I see him, he says my movement is great! And I keep good oral hygene and my clear ligs are just fine!

Don't worry I have braces for about 2 weeks now and I am getting 2 extractions tomorrow and they arent even the wisdom teeth. So yea some of us are in the same boat, good luck!
