What is your expereience with keeping your teeth healthy?

Thanks a lot to all of you for the advises. In fact, I did ask my ortho, they just don't provide any tool for placing the elastics. However, from the third attempt I managed to insert them. Just feeling a bit concious, they add so much force in my mouth, won't they damage the hooks on braces? I've h...

Advise needed. How to insert elastics?

Dear all, today I've returned from my 2-nd adjustment, the doctor said all goes well, so I'm happy. Since my upper jaw does not touch the lower one, they put elastics into my mouth which pull upper jaw downwards. They used a special tool for this, but they didn't provide me with such a tool. I know ...

2 weeks from the moment Natafele got her braces

I'm only starting 2-year journey, but I'm already counting the days and weeks I'm having my braces on. In these 2 weeks, I noticed some spacing between my front teeth. Perhaps I should be happy, but this makes me worry. I have a gap from the tooth extraction on my right side, so all front teeth must...

Hey sjsarre, good luck with your braces! I'll be watching your progress! I am on the second week, having mostly no pain with teeth but feeling extremely uncomfortable with new wounds on my cheeks.

Cheers,

Hi, guys!

Thanks for replies! I'd like to know for how long are you using the wax? Did you need it only at the beginning of the treatment or all the way through?

Good news: no staining from tea with lemon!

For 5 days, I've been avoiding drinking tea since I read that it might stain the clear ligatures. So, here are some good news! When visiting some friends, I had no other option than to drink tea or coffee. I chose for tea, and asked for a piece of lemon. They didn't have lemon, but they had concentr...

Pic's update: 5-th day of natafele in braces

Here are my photos! This is me without braces: http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n8/natafele/without.jpg As you see my bottom is not straight, and all teeth on the top are shifted to the left. Here is a photo on the day 1, after placing the braces: http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n8/natafele/P90...

I've got some wounds in my mouth :( , so now I want to protect my gums by putting some wax on the braces next to the wounds. Does any one know what to do with wax? May it stay on my teeth for long? Brushing and wax problem

Dear all, Thanks a lot for your answers and support! I would be thankful if you could share with me your experience regarding using the wax. I've got some wounds because of braces pushing towards my cheeks. The doctor said I should put some wax on the braces where it hurts, I've done this. But, now ...

I've got my braces too!

Hi everyone! I'd like to join the club, since I've got my braces yesterday. The ceramics on the top and the metallic ones on the bottom. It happened yesterday and took about 2 hours to place them. My colleages told me I should expect some pain after 2-3 hours, while my doctor said that the day after...
