Matty_Oz i'd encourage you to keep it up. One of the many things i love about my husband is how meticulously clean he keeps his mouth. The thought of ever kissing someone who doesn't floss makes me want to yak! There's decaying stuff in there! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! Jujubees

Since your teeth shifted the last two times your braces were removed, maybe he just wants to see if they're still shifting and you'll need a different, more aggressive treatment? Just a guess.....

:) Hear, hear! :) i have three children of my own at this point, and each one will visit the ortho by seven years! My 6-y-o just went for his first visit with my ortho, because his teeth look like mine :( . She insists i bring him back in a year, because it will be time to take action.
