I've always used Kenalog at night and Bonjela during the day. Kenalog is Triamcinolone Acetonide 1mg/g in emollient dental paste and Bonjela is Choline Salicyate 87mg/g. Using these products, the ulcer has always healed up in 2-3 days. I would still get another appointment with your dentist, as you ...

09 Aug 2006 - 11 Feb 2008. 19 months. I'm lucky that I haven't had wisdom teeth extracted (that was when I was 19!) or extractions or surgery, but, mouth ulcers are annoying. But, you just learn to deal with them, and get over it. Hydration, wax, salt-water rinses, Peroxyl, Kenalog (@ night over the...

Re: Ligature popped off

Anyone else had any ligatures pop off? Yes, and I've had metal ones break off in my mouth as well. Does it affect treatment at all? Nope. As soon as it happened I called the ortho's office and they put me in straight away to get it replaced. I always drop everything and get my tail into my ortho's ...

Thankyou for posting pics of retainers, as when I get mine off on 11 Feb (YIPPIE), ortho will take moulds and make retainers for me in his surgery. That's what they look like.....
