hey Kat, I have Damons (all metal) upper and lower...so far, so good. Adjustments take about 30 minutes and no bands around back teeth which is a plus (or I would think so anyways) :D

Good Luck!

4th adjustment yesterday

Time is really flying by since getting braced. My top teeth are looking great, they weren't really bad to start with though. I had one front tooth that was lower than the other and one of my upper 2's was a little turned in and my arch was more square than arched. I am so thrilled w/ the results tha...

I had one that has been painful with the first 2 sets of wires but it had 2 little metal rings crimped on each side of it so it wouldn't move....last adjustment he didn't use them so much better now.

Other than that, the pain in other teeth changes throughout the weeks between adjustments.

Thanks Karen! So far, I am thrilled with my results....my top teeth look great. Before they were not really bad but instead of having a nice arch, I had sort of a "square" look, LOL! One of my 2nd teeth (sorry don't know the names) was a little turned and made shadows/reflections in pics a...

3rd adjustment

Just had my 3rd set of wires put in Halloween day. I have a little spring thing between 2 teeth where I'm missing one to create the space for my future implant. So far, not too bad painwise....nothing like when I first got braced. The only thing right now is my bite is a little off where it felt pre...

Hi haremdreams, I'm 36 too and just got braced in August. It was rough the first 10 days or so but after that they start to feel more "normal". Just had my first adjustment and am a little sore but not as bad as the first few weeks...it gets easier :P Hang in there and just think of how yo...

Has anyone had SureSmile in their treatment?

Gonna copy & paste my posts from another thread...I did use search but couldn't find anything about it. Here's my other posts about it: I have Damon2's upper and lower and the cost was $5200 plus $250 for the records appt. It also includes something called SureSmile (computer scanned images of y...

Yes, I just had my first adjustment and it was no different than any other treatment plan though. They told me I won't start with SureSmile until later down the road. I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of it. I did a search last night but didn't find anything. I may need to start a new thread ...

I too have dental insurance that won't pay because I'm over 18....I'm keeping it because my son will need braces in a few years. I have Damon2's upper and lower and the cost was $5200 plus $250 for the records appt. It also includes something called SureSmile (computer scanned images of your teeth, ...

Thanks for the welcome! Glad to meet up with people with similar cases, LOL!!! I didn't realize my bite was so "off" either...I had lots of clicking and popping, jaw strain/ache and headaches. Most of the popping is in my right jaw hinge but I have already noticed a HUGE difference. Should...

Got my braces Aug 9th - going this Thursday for my first adjustment. I am 36 and have never had braces before. Been lurking for a few weeks now and decided to join in :D I was born missing 2 permanent teeth - one on top right, the other on bottom left. Lost the bottom baby tooth in 7th grade and not...
