Nope. Aligner became stuck on an attachment and when trying to remove it, it ripped apart. (Thought it was merely a wee bit of difficulty popping off the attachment.) This is the third lower aligner that has developed a tear. (Three attachments on the lower arch.) The first two may have been due to ...

Four weeks to end of active treatment -- retention to follow
If one were to have one of one's aligners damaged beyond use some five months into a six-month programme of active treatment (i.e., prior to starting retention), and one were simply to switch into the next set of aligners two days early (at 250 hours instead of the expected 300 hours), should all el...

Linguals weren't a problem for me like they were for you...
...but I am making the switch to Invisalign from linguals.
I'd be happy to share my experiences with you once my aligners are in.

Invisalign claims that they can close open bites, but my ortho seems less convinced (or at least she did in my case). She has closed my open bite and generally straightened out my teeth with iBraces (a few chiclets need fine-tuning), and that's one of the reasons she seems comfortable enough making ...

The switch has begun
Well, my ortho finally decided to switch me to Invisalign. I agreed to go along with the switch, but if I were remaining in an area with a good iBraces ortho, I think that I would have stuck with linguals. Honestly, the switch is likely to lengthen my treatment time by some months, and I don't know ...

Crazy fast!
I wish that someone familiar with Wilckodontics had discussed the procedure with me in advance of starting treatment. After the fact, when I raised it with orthos, they almost universally recoiled in horror when I explained to them what it entails. I think it might well be the "cat's meow"...

Jake -- out of braces in eight months?
And in Invisalign aligners for how long?
Wow! Eight months to get the fixed appliances off your teeth! Wilckodontics is pretty impressive.
Out of interest, did anyone guess how long your treatment would take without Wilckodontics?

If we do it, the switch is to come almost one year after I first had iBraces (lingual braces) installed. So that will be sometime around early-to-mid September, I suspect. My case was, in my inexpert opinion, moderately bad to begin with, and the iBraces seem to have done quite a bit to move my teet...

Switching to Invisalign from iBraces -- has anyone done it?
My ortho has indicated that if I wanted to do so, I might be able to switch from my present lingual iBraces to Invisalign. Now, I may have no choice but to do so, as I may have to relocate to a city where no-one handles lingual braces. Has anyone reading this message done so? If you have, then pleas...

Elastics, iBraces and open anterior bites
Apparently, my doc thinks that part-time wear is just fine. She has a few other tricks up her sleeve to get my teeth to move if elastics don't do the trick.
If she can do what needs to be done, then she's worth her weight in gold.
Thank you very much for your replies, good people!

Payments
Ah, well, Mun, I had paid the lab fees (including for the iBraces brackets and wires, of course) and about $1500 for the first few consultations. (I was in and out of his chair about four or five times before I left for another city.) After that, I just contracted with my new ortho. Hope this helps!
