I didn't qualify for invisalign either and I talked to three orthodontists before I picked one. It's weird to think you can shop around for braces, but it's such an investment and you're practically married to that dr. for as long as your treatment is required!

I would call your ortho immediately and ask him to help you out. He/she might not realize the severity of the issues you're having!

Congratulations on your new braces! My orthodontist made it sound like flossing is life or death with these things on. I am so glad it's just not me. I'm doing the same and waiting a few days.

My orthodontist told me that maintaining your gums and keeping them healthy (i.e. Flossing) plus warm liquids will promote faster movement.
