Thanks for the reply guys. Actually, my top arch (where the bracket unglued) has been, in my opinion, alligned for quite some time now; it'll be my 1 year anniversary next month. And no, I don't eat any candies or stuff like that. I'll definitely talked to my ortho about it. Although I'm lucky if I ...

Bracket unglued

For the second time, the SAME bracket has unglued from my tooth. Could it have something to do with the tooth?
My tooth seems a little sore, 'cause I keep moving the bracket back and forth on the archwire. Anyway I have an adjustment next week.

Anyone else ever have this happen?

Bracket unglued

Hi guys! Was wondering if I should advance my next appointment. It's only in 2 weeks and a couple of days ago I had a bracket unglue. The bracket slides front and back on the archwire. Is there any chance that I may lose or swallow it? thanks and Happy New Year to all you brace-faces!!!!! ...

My friend told me I look 12...which is great because I'm 34 !!!!!! LOL!!!!!!! Seriously though, the only other "comment" I received was from someone who said "ça ne te gêne pas?" which, when translated directly into English means: "you don't feel shy?" I proudly respo...

My top gaps were completely closed after 6 months. I'm still working on the bottom ones. It'll be a year in April since I've had my braces...

Not one regret...

The first week is tough...but IT DOES get better. I've been braced 8 months and don't deny myself of ANYTHING anymore. I eat apples, pears and had a pita sandwich yesterday for lunch! I DO cut my fruit into wedges; it's still important to get ALL your vitamins... I think it's even more CRUCIAL now, ...

Although it is different in every case, it really didn't take long before I saw some MAJOR improvement. I didn't believe my dentist when she said that the first teeth to move are the front ones...but boy was she right!!!! I've been braced for 8 months now and my top teeth look FANTASTIC! Eventhough ...

Congrats on having your "due" date ('')

As you said, keep using the lipbalm, and have you thought about drinking lots more water?

I drink about 5-6 glasses/day and since this, I find that my mouth isn't dry.

Maybe it'll help you too!!!

I've had a clicking jaw too, for as long as I can remember. But, since being braced (almost 8 months ago) it very RARELY happens anymore!

I believe your ortho's right... they don't get the big bucks for nothing I guess...

Thanks for the great feedback everyone. I actually have already used Crest Whitestrips BEFORE braces and loved them. What I bought now is acutally a kind of liquid capsule that you place into a curved container and you bite into it, something like the fluoride treatment you get at the dentist. My te...

Teeth whitening with braces

Hey guys, Does anyone know if there is any harm or consequence with whitening (bleeching) your teeth while wearing braces? I bought a do-it-at-home kit and wanted to do it before the holidays. Been braced 8 months now and really want to show off how good they look! I'm really happy! Spimpy http://im...

I had a dental cleaning on Friday (Nov. 10). My dentist said that the bigger the number, the closer you are to the end of your treatment. If your archwires are thin, the numbers will inevitably be smaller and this means you're not far along into your treatment. So...hope for those high-numbered wire...

Hey PimpmyTeeth, I could understand your feeling of being somewhat brushed-off by your consultation, I mean, it is a big decision to make and should not be taken lightly. I personnally took a lot of time in deciding whether to get my braces or not. I had initially gone for a consultation from a refe...

I've been braced for 7 months now and at my next appointment in November, my ortho said to plan for a 45 minute treatment time since he'll be placing brackets on my back teeth. You're right though, I'm sure flossing will take longer, but I DO believe that these brackets will be necessary. I've notic...
