YOU MUST floss by going under the brace. It's very important, if you don't go from underneath, you're not really flossing and your gums and teeth will suffer... I know it seems like it takes FOREVER, but the more you do it, the faster you'll become :-1. don't even use the threader anymore. The floss...

Absolutely! No pain - no gain is what I say!

With the technology of braces today, your teeth are CONTINUOUSLY in movement, but I think that they begin to really hurt once the root has made a significant amount of movement/progress.
