I had the same four teeth removed that you did and had the brackets put on first for the same reason that someone else mentioned, ortho said sometimes you get weird looks if you just have gaps. I can't imagine that it would matter to the ortho either way, really.

Thanks for the welcome back! I got some powerchains last time and they definitely work quickly! I just have more now. I have a feeling it's going to be soft food for a few days. Right now the area where the wayward tooth is feels like it has an exposed nerve (yeah, I know there isn't one, really) wh...

It's been forever since I've been here - sorry!

I had my 3rd adjustment today. I got a whopping 9 powerchains and I got a bracket and some medieval torture device added to my wayward tooth today to pull it forward. LOL I'm feeling kinda sore right now on that side. I tried to drink some ice water with my lovely lunch of tomato soup and nearly wen...

I completely forgot about this thread. I'm sorry for not getting back in here. Thanks so much for all the responses!

So far my favorite is the Glide Threader Floss even though it is a bit more expensive.

Wow...that was bad. Sorry about that. Every time I tried to post I got an error message so I assumed it wasn't posting.

I'm also one that chews through the discomfort.

I can't bite straight into a sandwich, burger, hot dog or anything but I do cut them up and eat them that way. I cut carrots, meat and apples into small slices.

I have the Superfloss right now and really don't like it compared to Glide Threader Floss. Does anyone use that? It doesn't have the "puffy" section and doesn't shred at all.

I got the bottoms on today!

They weren't sore until I went to eat dinner but I bit through the pain - no pain no gain, right? ;) I took Advil shortly after dinner and am feeling quite a bit better. I have two springs on the bottom now to go along with the one on the top. The bottom two aren't activated yet. I guess that will h...

I will keep that in mind. I've been doing phenomenally well in the past year and a half and don't even remember to make my chiropractic appointments unless I need one. That must have been so painful!

I just want to chime in and say that I had the same teeth pulled on the top and bottom and it took no time at all. I don't know if you've had wisdom teeth pulled, but it's nothing like that at all pain-wise. The worst part was the numbing for me. I actually got some sick pleasure out of watching/fee...
