Well, I guess it's worth an update. I was laughing too early... It's been a week since the spacers were put in. but three days ago, one of them fell out. I was chewing on some cookies. It somehow worked its way out. Then yesterday, I was chewing on some vegetable. I guess I chewed too...

So I had a chat to my ortho today on the topic of crowns. We have seen here on ArchWired just once (or has it been twice?) that someone has actually had a crown come off when a band was removed (The one I remember was Attagirl: http://www.archwired.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=14366&postdays=0&am...

They finally put the the spacers in for the lower crowns. When the assistant was trying to put one in for the crown on the right side, she pulled it so hard that my crown fell out!!! :soremouth: :yikes: :Questions: I was so shocked! But they managed to glue it back on and waited a little while and e...

spacers and tooth shaving

I'm supposed to get spacers in three weeks. They are for the two crowns on my bottom molars. The plan is to put the spacers in for one week, then put the molar bands in before they can bracket the lowers. My question: I was told that along the road, several of my teeth (including the molars) will ne...

jma295psu, let me give you a big hug!

When my ortho made a big loop in my wire, it was pretty uncomfortable too. I had to turn to wax again (I thought my mouth were already tough enough after 4 months torture). This time I put wax all over and it looks funny. :? But oh well, what can we do?

Thanks guys. Especially Karen, you are always encouraging and giving comments to the specific case. It almost sounds like you could be an ortho assistant. :)

I'll keep you guys updated for any progress.

And good luck to all of you metal mouth friends.

And these loops in the wire are poking into my cheeks. :( So I have to put on some waxes. I haven't used wax for quite a while but it's definitely called upon this time. Oh I fogot another big news, next time they are going to put bracket on the sideturned tooth in my upper arch to start rotating it...

Just came back from my 5th adjustment. The new ortho will start to work with my teeth from next ...
