Looking good Ishasha! Your right side is getting to it. The left will be soon to follow. There must be a slow gene in our left side teeth. My left side is taking it's sweet time to sort its self out compared to the right. Your lowers will be banded before too long! Don't worry about your ortho not ...

2.5 month comparision (pic)

I finally got a copy of my original pictures from my ortho, so I thought a comparison would be encouraging... But it looks like the original picture for the uppers is not centered very well so it might not be a good comparison. :( http://us.f13.yahoofs.com/bc/43ec042cm67aa2c66/bc/public/2.5+month+co...

Don't worry. It's normal. Teeth are moving. Especially in the early days when braces are just on, the feeling of flossing keeps changing too. I recall for several days some teeth are extreamly sensitive to flossing, some are hard to get in between, some are on the other hand, much easier to get thro...

Yeah, this part is horrible... When they took the impression of my teeth, I had no idea of what they were going to do and almost vomitted... I had to keep breathing really loud ...

Poor thing. To make you feel better, when I was just braced, I got holes in the cheek as well as "cheek strings". :D The strings were pretty disgusting. The good news is that these did go away. Salt water rinse helped a lot.

I actually like my braces. My teeth were so crooked that as soon as I got braces I showed it to almost all of my colleagues. I guess subconciously I was trying to say: hey, I will have beautiful teeth soon! Don't you laugh at me anymore. :D Well, the first week was nightmare. I couldn'...

Ellebee, yes, with the occlusal pads, it's tricky to chew. But you'll be amazed at how quickly you'll get used to it.

Denise raised an interesting point about clenching at night. Hope Dr. Rick will be able to answer it or you can ask your ortho.

Good luck.

new use of morgan bumper

I never thought that morgan bumper has this new use: marking the progress of teeth moving! When I got braced two month ago, I was having a hard time adjusting to the braces and one of the troubles was that my inner lips hurt so much. So I tried the bumper. It worked only to some degree. The problem ...

I'm definitely no expert. But I heard that teeth move at different speed for different people and it's generally slower for adults than kids. So maybe you should be patient? About clenching, I agree that logically it prevents teeth from moving, but again I'm no expert. In my case, since my teeth are...

I wonder how they know if you are "ready for" a new wire or not. I have only been braced for a little more than 1 month and 3 weeks. Since I had to go in quite a few times for some emergency, they have already changed my wire 3 times. Last one lasted for about 20 days and the assistant sai...
