I got a clear retainer for the purpose of allowing me to bleach my teeth in it over night with opalescence tooth whitening. A kit of 4 tubes i put a small dab in at night in my retainer. Take it out in the morning. I noticed results actually this morning. So weird lol

I still get irritated areas during certain times. i never used salt rinses. I have used wax on occasion for pokey wires etc. I dont think everyone actually gets to the point of no irritation.

Longest i've been with a pokey wire was a weekend, since that incident, if i was able to get in there i went. It will eat your cheek alive!!! Don't clip it yourself though, i've had mine migrate to one side and if you snip it you will cause some alignment issues well possibly.
