Yes, I can attest to the fact that at least some cross-bites can be fixed with Invisalign :) I had to have a lower incisor extracted as my teeth were very crowded and he thought there would be too much filing to be done between the teeth otherwise. After 14 months with periods of elastics and 20U/22...

armopearls - I had 4 upper and 6 lower attachments put on at the end of July last year. Truthfully, I like them because they allow you to snap the trays into place so you know there are fitting properly. As time goes on (now 1 year later for me), they have worn down a lot from brushing I suppose, an...

I asked my ortho here in Toronto if he could send me the link to the Clin-Check animations via email and he didn't know how at the time - but would get back to me after speaking to Invisalign rep - that was a year ago... I still can't see them except at his office. Just picked up last 3 bottom trays...

I had 4 on top and 6 on the bottom (20U, 22L). I say had, because recently, 10 months into treatment, 2 of them 'fell' off the same week! (I still think it was the chewies that I was chomping down on one night that did it) I thought those suckers would never come off. Anyway, at my appt last week, m...

My ortho gave me 2 invisalign plastic cases and told me to always keep the most recently used ones in one case and the current ones in the other in case I lost or damaged the current ones I would always have the other set to fall back on. As for the others he said I could keep them or throw them out...

I know this reply is a bit late, but I thought I would add my 2 cents worth since I have been wearing elastics with my Invisalign for quite a while now. I am on trays 15 of 20/22 and have had to wear an elastic from the top back left to the bottom front left since trays 10. My ortho told me that sin...

Hey Pearlie et al, I also have speed bumps/attachments on my front teeth. My ortho put the smaller round ones on the top, and the larger rectangular ones on the bottom probably cause those teeth are less visible. I have 10 attachments in total. I am also totally used to them and only my closest co-w...

No Hard to Die for, Sorry for the late reply (Christmas festivities!) I was told that they are to pull the lower jaw backward in order to help with the correction of my crossbite and lower chin (slight) protrudence. Truthfully, I don't really see how it will help that much as I pull my lower jaw bac...

elastics
I was surprised to find out that I would need to wear an elastic on one side when I picked up trays 7-10. The hygienist cut small slits in the trays with a nail-clipper. She took about a half-hour to get the elastic to stay on. When I went home I spent literally an hour trying to do it in front of t...

I am on trays 5 of 20/22 Anyone else out there have to wear them for 3 weeks each? (I didn't find this out until I went to pick up the first 3 sets) My ortho is very experienced with Invisalign so I am trusting his call - I had hoped to be done in under a year but now it appears that it is going to ...
