So I went to the ortho today, everything is looking FANTASTIC!! I'm pretty much done, just a few more tweaks. Going to close up the bite a little on my left side, and since my teeth are triangular it looks like I have little spaces between them so on a few he's going to shave it down a little betwee...

Ok, so let see. I got my lowers braced over a month ago, August 17th, I got the Ice Brackets on the bottom, they are barely noticeable. Everything is going smoothly, just went on Monday and got 2 new thicker wires, my power chains came off, and he gave me an elastic to wear on the left side. The pow...

WOW, this thicker arch wire really doesn't kid around! But it feels good to feel the pain, just means that it's working. Thanks everyone for the comments. The roof of my mouth is pretty much back to normal, I have some really bad sensitivity behind my front tooth, I think there is...

I went for my first adjustment today. Didn't do much, just reshaped my wire. Teeth are a tad bit sore, but I didn't let that stop me from eating pizza!! But the fantastic news is we are done turning the key for my expander. He was very pleased with the progress. I'll be going back in 4 weeks for ano...

Yes, a Water Pik would be a great investment!!! I have had my expander for almost 3 months, don't know how I would of cleaned it properly without one. And a side note... I have noticed once you start expanding the food doesn't get stuck up there as much and comes out easier because there is a bigger...

Hi lizzoo, So far so good with these braces. I have nothing really to compare them to except for when I first got my molar bands. Those made my cheeks a little sore. With these braces, I have yet to use any wax, they are not bothering my lips at all. I of course feel them, but no discomfort. Apparen...

Thank You to everyone for the comments and support!!! Day 2, still a breeze. Only thing that bothers me a little is the way my top lip pops out, but I'm sure I'll get over it. Not sure how long I'll have these bad boys on for, before treatment they estimated 12/18 months, but that's what they tell e...

So, today was my big day!! I got my upper braces! :-)o It wasn't bad at all. It took about 15/20 minutes to get braced. I was there longer, cause I had to get more pictures before I got braced. The whole procedure was a piece of cake. He didn't even use one of those lip spreader things, just used pi...

Just wanted to share some progress, I have had this expander for a little over 2 months. In-Ovation C
Anybody have these braces, In-Ovation C by GAC. They are ceramic self-ligating. I'll be the first patient my ortho has used them on. Will be getting them in 2 weeks, should be fun.

I'm getting my uppers braced in 2 weeks!!! Woohoo!! I have been going every 2 weeks and he has been turning my expander key. Last couple of times he has turned it 5x each visit. I told him, turn it as many times that is safely possible. The pain hasn't bothered me at all, just some pressure ...
