I noticed the most changes about 1 week after my first adjustment. My bottom teeth have straightened out quite a bit and my one tooth on the bottom that was slightly turned in has almost aligned! With my tops I haven't noticed much change at all

wow! it's amazing how fast they move! They look really great!

first adjustment was 8 weeks after getting braced and then every 6 weeks I guess.

^ that is eactly what I wanted! I don't have any bite issues. I wanted braces purely for vanity"s sake. I have mild spacing issues on the top and a bit of crowding on the bottom. But I think my orthodontist is a perfectionist and that is why my treatment plan is for ~12 mos.

OK. What makes the 6 month braces treatment time so short? I read the article about it and it seems that they are doing pretty much the same things as for any other type of braces, even space between adjustments is the same (like every 5-6 weeks). It was suggested to me following my treatment that gum reshaping will make my smile look better and I was just wondering if anyone had this procedure done and what they thought of the results. Did it make that much of a difference? Was it worth it etc?

my friend had braces 10 years ago that basically aligned her top teeth on top of her lower teeth, and now she has ALOT of jaw problems/ pain etc. and should again undergo treatment to correct this mistake. I think your teeth look good and if your bite is okay then all the better.

I am curious about the same thing too, as I have t lower teeth that need to be sl. rotated. I have no answers for you though
