I have an Essix and a hawley for the top and I hate the essix. Mine is so tight when I take it out. I had my ortho look at it and he said its fine. He said they are suppose to be pretty snug so there will be little to no movement going on.

Sometimes its ortho's preference or what is best for your teeth. I have hawley upper and lower and my ortho wanted me to have bonded retainers but I didn't like the idea of having anything bonded to my teeth for a long time.

My teeth sometimes feel dirty also when they are clean. And my retainers are clean also. The backs of my teeth especially feel so nasty and dirty like its been forever since they have been cleaned.

I have had my retainers for around 4 months or something close to that and I brush and floss right before I go to bed and when I wake up my mouth tastes so gross.
