Do you mean to say that I am supposed to wear the bands while eating????? I have been taking them off to eat, then putting new ones on after. I find it IMPOSSIBLE to open my mouth a little bit let along wide enough to eat. Should I be eating with them on?????

Thanks everyone! My fears are assuaged. I am looking at my arch wire and noticed that there are two cylinder looking things on each side of the bracket on my upper left front tooth. It is the only bracket that has this "cylinder" on both sides. What is that?
