You guys made me feel better, i guess it's kinda normal to feel uneasy during treatment. I just have received alot of "you didn't need them" comments that made me somewhat self-conscience. My mother HATES my braces; she was blessed with naturally straight teeth and thinks braces are ugly....

hmmm but i think the orthos should have these in mind? they dont only want to make you teeth looks straight but also you CHIN and JAW looking nice not worse than before!

hey, thanks for all your responses. actually i DO feel a lot better now than the first few months of the treatment.. my mouth did look a bit larger than before, but now i feel ok (either my mouth becomes a little smaller again or i get used to it? :shock: ) I'll try talking to my doctor about this.....
